Hi, I'm a molecular immunologist and cell biologist based in San Francisco.
My scientific work has centered on immunity, protein regulation, and host-pathogen interactions. More recently, I've become interested in AI for biology: not only as a way to study mechanistic questions, but as a way to build better tools for learning, discovery, and scientific reasoning.
Outside of research, I spend time on photography and related creative projects.
EmailResearch interests
- AI for biology. Using machine learning to study mechanistic biology and build better scientific tools.
- Protein regulation. Questions around signaling, ubiquitin systems, and how cellular states are controlled.
- Host-pathogen interactions. How pathogens interface with and exploit cellular systems.
- Scientific learning. Making complex biological ideas more legible, teachable, and accessible.
